What is the program all about?

Being in the industry for a number of years we have noticed a gap between offering access to a gym and personal training.

There is so many people that would LOVE to have a trainer but reality is they just can’t afford a Personal Trainer. Then you have those that would like to have access to a trainer and also 24/7 access but without the Personal Trainer price tag.

That’s where “Express Functional Fitness” came about, we have found a way to be able to offer you both 24/7 access as well as access to a trainer at an affordable weekly rate.

We also understand the importance of nutrition therefore have added a nutritional program you will have access to which has incredible recipes to help you achieve your health and fitness goals.



What are the benefits of functional training and what makes functional fitness training so good for you?

With so many different training styles and proclaimed miracle workouts, it’s sometimes hard to sort through the nonsense and figure out which style is best for you.

Below are some major benefits of functional training, strengthening not only our bodies but also our cardiovascular health showing that functional training can be right for everyone.

Movement Matters: Our bodies are designed to move, not to sit slumped over a computer all day. The less you move, the less blood sugar your body uses. Functional training focuses on training movement patterns rather than isolating individual muscles.

Posture: Functional training can help to correct bad posture and muscular imbalances caused by the daily grind, stressful jobs and hectic lifestyles. Bad posture can have so many negative effects on the body.

Fat Burning: Functional training provides fantastic fat burning workouts, by using full body exercises that improve strength, endurance and boost metabolism, not wasting a minute of your session. Core Strength: in functional training every exercise involves core activation, teaching the core to stabilize the spine against external force, throughout an array of differing movement patterns and body positions. Therefore mimicking the demand placed upon the core and spine in our everyday tasks and recreational activities. Crunches alone, unfortunately just don’t cut it!

All members have access to our facility 24/7 and as well as the functional program mentioned above we also have a large range of both Life Fitness & Hammer Strength Equipment.


Cardio Equipment

Express Fitness 24/7 offers a large variety of cardiovascular equipment including Treadmills, upright cycle, recumbent cycle, Cross trainers, rowers and spin bikes. We have also included a boxing area within the facility to increase cardiovascular fitness.

Strength Equipment

Express Fitness has both pin loaded and plate loaded equipment that are both user friendly as well as free weights including dumbbells up to 50kg and barbells. Hammer Strength is the #1 brand of plate-loaded fitness equipment in the world and offers some of the industry’s most advanced strength-training technologies. We also offer 2 cable machines, smith machine, power racks and benches for free weight training.
